On the days you don’t want to stay at home, yet don’t feel like travelling, a summer house could be what you need. It gives you a sheltered spot to enjoy the garden, extending this enjoyment even when it’s windy or raining. Have a look at our best summerhouses and see which one you can picture using.
You’ll know it when you see it.
BillyOh Bella Tongue and Groove Pent Summerhouse
Bella is a modern summer house with tongue and groove panelling. The long, stylish windows only face the front. Natural light still pours through, but with added privacy on both sides. These are complicated by wide-opening double doors that are also double-glazed. This gives you a bright and airy space to stay in.
The pent roof gives you good headroom and helps with rain runoff. And because there’s hardly any roof overhang, it stays within permitted development. Add insulation and use it year-round, including the cold winter days.
More design insights:
- 10-year anti-rot guarantee
- Adaptable configuration to suit you
- Upgrade to 19mm Tongue & Groove floor panelling available
- Standard 11mm timber flooring with optional upgrade to 19mm
- Sizes available: 8×8, 10×8, 12×8, 14×8, 16×8
BillyOh Darcy Log Cabin Summerhouse
What we like about this summer house is that it works as a log cabin and a summer house. Darcy might be your dream living space extension, with a modern reverse apex design. This gives you generous headroom at 2.5m, and the eaves are at least 6ft, so the ceiling feels higher.
Expect more natural light and air with one large opening window on either side of the doors on the front wall. More single-opening ones on each side of the wall for extra ventilation and more daylight.
If you like the generous window layout of a summer house but want the sturdier build of a log cabin, this one’s for you. Use it as a garden office, gym, or even turn it into a summerhouse bar by adding the BillyOh Nightjar inside.
More design insights:
- 19mm or 28mm Tongue & Groove log walls
- Complete with felt, fixtures and fittings
- Optional pressure treatment upgrade to extend the guarantee to 15 years
- Sizes available: 11×7
BillyOh Renna Tongue and Groove Corner Summerhouse
If space matters, a corner summer house like Renna is worth a look. It’s a practical, modern building with a pent roof that fits neatly into the corner of your garden. It gives you the breathing room you might not have indoors, with loads of internal space and a tall roof.
You can choose whether the door sits on the left or right, so it works with your layout. Not only do the tall glazed windows let in plenty of sunlight, but they also give you wide garden views. It makes it easy to turn into a quiet spot for work or downtime.
More design insights:
- Convenient corner door positioning (choose between left or right placement)
- Durable SAN Window Glazing
- Double tongue and groove throughout

BillyOh Penton Corner Summerhouse with Side Store
Penton almost shares the same designs as Renna, but with a twist. This particular unit combines two garden buildings into one structure: a main space for relaxation or entertainment and a separate area for storage.
The larger room can become anything you like—a games room, lounge, or a personal workout space. For the storage, you can keep garden furniture when not in use, gym equipment, or a shelter for your BBQ.
As with our most summer houses, Penton features full-span windows with high-strength SAN styrene glazing. Optional pressure-treated is also available to reduce upkeep and extend the guarantee to 15 years.
Sizes available: 11×7
BillyOh Petra Tongue and Groove Reverse Apex Summerhouse

Inside the generous interior is a standard tongue and groove timber floor, which can be upgraded to 19mm and pressure-treated. A feature like this can support heavy equipment, the intense workouts, and other demands of a garden gym.
You’ll also get full-width, panoramic windows across the front wall, complemented by a double window section on one side.

BillyOh Harper Tongue and Groove Apex Summerhouse

BillyOh Dojo E Insulated Building
Dojo E is our most premium log cabin summerhouse to date. It includes everything a modern garden room needs, made even better with a reversible design. This feature lets you reverse the windows and doors on either the left or right.
The inset windows have a silhouette-style look and sit beneath a slight roof overhang, adding a bit of shelter and a more defined shape to the front. There’s more: the low-pitch angle of the roof showcases a fascia frame, adding to the unit’s contemporary style.
More design insights:
- Built-in hybrid insulation in floors, walls, and roof
- Upgrades available for pressure treatment and uPVC windows
- An extended platform base that creates a raised area at the front for seating
